WHOLE-School Analyse Stage in Media Arts

The analyse stage is important for students to reflect on how a Media Artwork shows the Story Principles of character, setting, structure, intent, perspective and genre to its audience. During Weeks 8-9, this stage of production in Media also allowed students to present, question, and provide constructive feedback to themselves or others. 
Across Years F-2, students completed a Gallery Walk process as seen in Visual Arts, chose a Stop Motion animation they liked, and explained why to the class. It was a positive experience for students to listen to feedback that built confidence and encouraged kindness. Students also completed a self-reflection to share one's opinion on Stop Motion skills.
Throughout Years 3-6, students rotated and viewed a Media Artwork of another team, and provided constructive peer-feedback using the Story Principles and the Elements of Media. Students experienced powerful discussions as the team were required to agree on a rating out of 10, and justify the feedback with a 'positive' comment and an 'improvement' comment.

Renee is proud of all students for their efforts in Performing Arts' Media unit, and is excited to explore Dance in Semester 2.
