PLC students have been building on their vocabulary in  body parts and colours. In Japanese, it has been a routine to greet, respond to the role, review the words they have learnt in the past, and sing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.
Prep students are becoming experts of following this routine in Japanese language. It has been amazing to see a lot of students being enthusiastic and confident.
Prep students are excited to perform Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in Japanese at assembly on Monday 12th September.

SLC students have been exploring the topic of Healthy Food. Students are practicing to say, write, read and listen to the 6 healthy food names. We created the hand signs together which help them remember the words. These photos were taken when students played Connect 4. The aim of this activity was to build confidence to read and say the words in Japanese while playing the game.

CLC students have worked on a variety of activities to be able to say, write, read and listen to the 6 family member words. In the last couple of lessons, students extended their knowledge of self-introduction to introduce their family members. These photos show some amazing writing work about their family members.

YYLC students have been developing their language skills of composing sentences in Japanese. Students have learned the 6 family member words and 8 describing words in this Term. To memorise these words, students have done different types of activities including the basic writing and reading tasks and playing the Japanese traditional card game called Karuta.
Our aim is to be able to make sentences to describe family members by the end of the Term.
