YMCA School Holiday Program | Autumn 2019

19/3/2019

Exciting News!
YMCA Mernda Park OSHC will be opening our first ever School Holiday Program!

Picture

We have planned an action packed program and tailored to the interests of the children who already attend OSHC during the term so they are going to have a blast of the holidays with YMCA.

We have excursions and incursions, cooking and a disco. In the first week we will be stargazing in a star dome and building space ships, learning and developing new skills at Lake Dewar Camp, Building towers and bridges, cooking exotic cuisine and will finish off the week visiting Bundoora Farm.

The second  week we will be learning about potions and science with our Harry Potter Science incursion, followed the next day with going to the movies to see Wonder Park! We will finish off that excursion with a visit to the Pancake parlor. Wednesday we will be going to Wonderland junior and Thursday will be Easter activities in the morning followed by a Disco that is being planned by our very own Mernda Park OSHC children!

Thank you again to the Mernda Park School Community with all  their support for getting our own School Holiday Program. We are so excited to be having a program on “home turf” that we are going to make it the best possible school holidays that the children can have.

See our full School Holiday Program in the flyer attached.

Kind Regards

Scholastic Buy One Get One Free Book Fair | Thursday 22nd November

15/11/2018

Double the fun!

Our amazingly successful Book Fair last term has earned our school an opportunity to host an exclusive event called the
Buy One Get One Free Book Fair!

This unique event is only offered to a select number of schools and provides a different range of titles at fabulous prices! At a Buy One Get One Free Book Fair, instead of the school collecting commission, every book purchased enables students to select another book of equal or lesser value for FREE!

This is a great opportunity to stock up for Christmas with the added bonus of selecting a free book with every purchase. Or you can choose to donate the second book to the Resource room, the choice is yours.

Students will have an opportunity to have a sneak peek at the selection of books available prior to the Book Fair opening.

The Buy One Get One Free Book Fair will be open next Thursday 22nd November at the following times:
8:20am - 8:45am
3:15pm - 3:45pm

We hope to see you there!

Grill'd Plenty Valley

8/11/2018

Picture
We’ve been selected to participate in Local Matters at Grill’d Plenty Valley this November!

Local Matters is the Grill’d community donation program that sees each Grill’d restaurant donate $500 back into the community every month. The donation is split between 3 local community groups $300 / $100 / $100.

HOW YOU CAN HELP?
We’d love your support in receiving the highest $300 donation! Simply head to Grill’d Plenty Valley during November for a burger and pop your Local Matters token in our jar. The group with the most tokens at the end of the month receives the largest donation.

It’s a simple (and delicious) way to show your support!

You’ll find us on a jar at Grill’d Plenty Valley.
