Welcome back to onsite learning. You may notice something new at the front entrance of our school. We have started our own MPPS Spoonville. Please feel free to create your own unique Spoonville citizen. You can use either a wooden spoon, fork or spatula. Put your creative caps on and have fun!
From The Specialist Team Susie, Maddi and Holly Online learning for parents/carersWelcome to Mernda Park Primary School. Our current prep students have a message for new prep families commencing in 2020. M.P.P.S held our first ever Family Maths Night, it was fantastic to see lots of families and the community turning out to engage in problem solving tasks and hands on activities. Thank you to everyone who came and supported this great event.
Double the fun!
Our amazingly successful Book Fair last term has earned our school an opportunity to host an exclusive event called the Buy One Get One Free Book Fair! This unique event is only offered to a select number of schools and provides a different range of titles at fabulous prices! At a Buy One Get One Free Book Fair, instead of the school collecting commission, every book purchased enables students to select another book of equal or lesser value for FREE! This is a great opportunity to stock up for Christmas with the added bonus of selecting a free book with every purchase. Or you can choose to donate the second book to the Resource room, the choice is yours. Students will have an opportunity to have a sneak peek at the selection of books available prior to the Book Fair opening. The Buy One Get One Free Book Fair will be open next Thursday 22nd November at the following times: 8:20am - 8:45am 3:15pm - 3:45pm We hope to see you there! To celebrate another great year at Mernda Park PS students will be performing Christmas Carols for our family and friends.
Our fundraising team will be cooking up a sausage sizzle for our MPPS community throughout the evening. Please bring along BYO picnic blankets, camp chairs, money to support our fundraising efforts for the bbq and a raffle on the night. Any parent helpers available to assist would be greatly appreciated. Please notify the office if you are available to assist. We look forward to seeing you there from 5pm on Thursday 13th of December! Mernda Park Primary School Friday 9th November families are invited to attend our final transition session for a Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Riverdale Park (opposite school on Riverdale Road) from 4pm-5pm.
We look forward to seeing you there! ![]() We’ve been selected to participate in Local Matters at Grill’d Plenty Valley this November! Local Matters is the Grill’d community donation program that sees each Grill’d restaurant donate $500 back into the community every month. The donation is split between 3 local community groups $300 / $100 / $100. HOW YOU CAN HELP? We’d love your support in receiving the highest $300 donation! Simply head to Grill’d Plenty Valley during November for a burger and pop your Local Matters token in our jar. The group with the most tokens at the end of the month receives the largest donation. It’s a simple (and delicious) way to show your support! You’ll find us on a jar at Grill’d Plenty Valley. A brilliant effort by our MPPS community for taking part in Crazy Hair Day. Our students were almost unrecognisable with their crazy hair creations. Together we raised over $140 for Cystic Fibrosis. Congratulations also to our Special Lunch Day raffle winners! A big thank you to Rose our Canteen Manager for preparing lots of delicious lunches for our students and staff today, and for providing the raffle prizes. Thank you to our amazing MPPS community for voting. We have been named as a finalist in the 2018 Leader Local Grants initiative. Stay tuned..... the winning grants recipients will be announced on Thursday 26th July.
Mernda Park PS would like to thank our local businesses and wonderful MPPS community for their generous support in 2018. Select a business to be directed to their website.
