We have been busy as always at YMCA Mernda Park OSHC! Children have been engaged in a wonderful program that has been tailored to meet the needs and interests of the those that attend. Our most recent request is for African animals, so you may have noticed that our dinosaur has gone back to the dinosaur era to make way for an African Savana! Slime and goo have been a great hit at OSHC, the children loved squishing it and pulling it and laughed when it was rolled up and made funny noises. Our leaf insects have grown huge and are now producing eggs which everyone is excited about, but did you know it can take up to a year for leaf inect eggs to hatch? Last week we found a painted pebble in the Community Hub and this led to us painting our own. The idea of the painted pebble is that you hide it in the garden for other children to find, take a picture of the rock and post it on VICROCKS on Facebook and then rehide the rock again. Have a good look next time you are in a local park, you may find some rocks! Bookings are now open for what is going to be our BEST EVER holiday program! We have reformatted our program to maximise the fun so children have an awesome holiday program experience! We are going to have bubble soccer, an amazing race, roller skating, mega headquarters day and on the last day the YMCA Carnival which will have rock climbing, animals and reptiles, giant maze, mini golf, face painting a disco and a BBQ lunch is provided! The Carnival day should not be missed! Comments are closed.
