Students in SLC & CLC have started an exciting basketball program this week! All classes will have at least one session led by Luke and Raheem from the Whittlesea Pacers, with the remaining lessons taught by Maddi. Luke is also coaching Maddi to further develop her basketball skills, and he is supplying the lessons she will be delivering. Throughout the program, students will learn fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. To give families a glimpse of the action, we have put together a short video featuring highlights from our first week. We hope you enjoy watching our students in action!

Today, we played our first home game of the season against Hazelglen College. A huge thank you to our Grade 5s—Radin, Reece, Ayvah, Freya, and Shaelah—for stepping up to fill in for our absent Grade 6 players. Your effort and teamwork were much appreciated! The basketball and tee ball teams competed on-site at MPPS, while our cricket team travelled to Waterview Reserve for their matches. It was a fantastic day of sport, with our teams securing 4 wins out of 7 games! Next week, there will be no game due to a scheduling conflict with our opponents. Stay tuned for our next match, and check out today's scores below!
In Weeks 1-4 of Term 1, students explored our school's CARE values—Collaboration, Achievement, Responsibility, and Empathy—through engaging teamwork activities and modified sports. They worked together to achieve common goals, put in their best effort, and took responsibility for themselves, their teammates, and the equipment they used. Empathy was a key focus as they stepped into the shoes of others, considering different perspectives during gameplay. Watch the videos below to see these values in action!
