After Round 6 was unfortunately washed out due to rainy weather, we were excited to get back into action for the final round of Term 1 Interschool Sport. In Round 7, we faced Whittlesea Primary School's B side and put in an outstanding performance, winning 6 out of 7 matches! Basketball and Tee-Ball played on-site at MPPS, while Cricket travelled to Waterview Reserve for their game. A huge thank you to our Grade 5 students—George, Luca, Freya, Tallulah, and Tiana—for filling in and supporting their teams. The final ladder results will be posted next week, so keep an eye out for the standings! Well done to all teams for their hard work and dedication throughout the term!

This morning, our school was buzzing with excitement as students rolled, scooted, and skated their way to school for National Ride2School Day! It was fantastic to see so many families choosing an active start to the day, and the energy on the basketball courts was amazing. A big thank you to all the students and families who participated—you helped make the morning so special! A special shoutout to our incredible teachers who assisted with crowd control, handed out stickers, and captured some great moments. Check out the photos and videos below to see the fun in action! 📸🎥 Remember, walking or riding to and from school isn’t just for today—it’s a great way to stay active, spend time together as a family, and help the environment. Let’s keep the momentum going and make active travel part of our daily routine!
It was a late start today as we faced Donnybrook at home. Due to a change in plans, our cricket teams had to stay on-site at MPPS instead of travelling to Waterview Reserve. A big thank you to our coaches and players for their flexibility and teamwork in ensuring everything was set up smoothly. A massive congratulations to our mixed basketball and cricket teams, who remain undefeated this season! Overall, we had a strong performance, winning 5 out of 7 matches today. Well done to all teams for their efforts and sportsmanship. A special thank you to our Grade 5 students—Gianni, Levi, Talia, and Misty—for stepping in and helping out today. Your contributions were greatly appreciated! Looking ahead to next week, please note that the school we are versing does not have a cricket team, so only Tee Ball and Basketball will be competing. Great job, everyone! Let’s keep up the fantastic work and continue to play with skill, effort, and great sportsmanship. Scores and Ladder Update:
Today, a group of 20 enthusiastic Grade 6 students, accompanied by Anthony and Hollie, took part in the Lawn Bowls Gala Event at Whittlesea Lawn Bowls. Competing against other schools from the Bridge Inn North District, our students showcased incredible teamwork, skill, and determination.
Despite the hot weather, they persevered and delivered an outstanding performance, securing 1st place in the competition! This fantastic achievement means they will now advance to the next round on Thursday, October 13, where they will compete against other schools in the Whittlesea Division. A huge congratulations to all who participated! We are incredibly proud of your hard work, sportsmanship, and dedication. Best of luck in the next round! |
