What a day! On a cold and blustery Wednesday, 58 determined students from Grades 3 to 6, along with our dedicated staff – Tess, Ryan, Lynda and Maddi – made their way to the Kilmore Racing Club to compete in the Bridge Inn North District Cross Country event.
The wind may have been biting, but the spirit of our students was even stronger. With hearts full of courage and legs ready to run, every participant gave their absolute best, showing incredible resilience and sportsmanship. Thankfully, the hot food from the canteen was a welcome treat, helping to warm chilly fingers and fuel our runners throughout the day. We are so proud of each and every student who participated. Your effort, enthusiasm, and support for one another were inspiring to witness. A huge thank you goes to the wonderful families who braved the weather to cheer on our runners. Your support means the world and helps make days like this so special. Special congratulations to our eleven amazing students who have qualified for the Division Cross Country next Wednesday: Luca, Gianni, Shaelah, Talia, Kai, Jake, Keiran, Jensen, Alek, Harper and Hannah – we’ll all be cheering you on! And a final celebration – our school placed 3rd overall in the district! A fantastic achievement that reflects the strength, effort and spirit of our whole team. Check out some snapshots from the day below – filled with smiles, ribbons, and memories! Round 3 saw us back on home turf as we hosted Donnybrook Primary School for another exciting morning of Interschool Sport. Despite the chilly start, the sun was shining and so were our students! It was a competitive round, with our teams walking away with 3 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw across AFL 9s, soccer and netball. Every match was full of energy, effort and great sportsmanship. We’d like to give a special shoutout to some standout performances:

Yesterday, 20 enthusiastic Grade 6 students represented our school at the Bridge Inn North District Hockey 7s Gala Day, held at the Greensborough Hockey Club. With perfect weather and a buzzing atmosphere, our teams faced off against six other schools from across the district. It was a fantastic day of sport, teamwork, and fun—with the canteen proving to be a crowd favourite! A huge congratulations to our mixed (boys) team who took out the top spot overall. Normally, the next step would be the division level, but since that's not running this year, they’ll head straight to the regional finals on Wednesday the 6th of August. We’re so proud of all our players and can’t wait to see how the team performs at regionals!
Round 2 of Interschool Sport had a chilly start, but the sun soon came out—and so did our students’ determination and team spirit! We travelled away to take on Ashley Park, and what a day it turned out to be! Not only did the weather warm up, but so did our teams--all six of them came away with a win! It was fantastic to see our students playing with confidence, supporting one another, and representing our school so proudly across AFL 9s, soccer and netball. A special thank you goes out to our fabulous Grade 5 fill-ins: Zara, Shaelah, Viaan, Arianna and Ayvah. Your contributions helped make the day such a success. The results speak for themselves—check them out below!
