For the second half of Term 2 SLC, CLC and YYLC completed a gymnastics unit. They learned how to make shapes with their bodies, to jump and land safely, to rotate; turn, roll and spin, and all about rhythmic gymnastics. Next term SLC will continue to explore gymnastics and PLC will begin their gymnastics unit. It is such a fun way for students to move their bodies and be healthy! Take a look at our gymnasts below.

Take a look at our Preps in action doing the Perceptual Motor Program (PMP).
PMP is a program based on movement that helps younger students enhance their hand-eye and foot-eye coordination. PMP is also a fantastic tool for supporting students growth in areas such as fitness, balance, locomotion and eye-tracking skills. Today the students from PLC and SLC were incredibly fortunate to complete a free soccer incursion with the Football Star Academy.
Students learned basic soccer skills while engaging in fun games such as Red Light, Green Light and Monster Tag. Students then teamed up and used their skills to verse each other in mini-matches. At the end of the incursion, all students received a voucher for a free trial session with the Football Star Academy. It was a fantastic experience and we thank Coach Michael and Coach Lisa from Football Star Academy for coming to MPPS. |
