MPPS VS. ST PAUL OF THE APOSTLE

Mixed Soccer

Today, the MPPS soccer team stepped up to their 4th match of the season, eager to face off. Looking at the opponents, we knew that today’s game was going to be our hardest game this season. The kick-off whistle sounded, and it was a game of wills. Both teams were equally matched up in terms of ability, making both teams rely on tactics. Although we made some flaws, we were still able to recover possession by working together smoothly. We made another fantastic win, the scores being 3-1. We now have three games to go, and we all are pretty confident on what is to come.

Girls Soccer
The morning was cold, our bodies were stiff as we stepped onto the field. “Let's warm up, girls!” I requested as we all stood around in a circle kicking the ball to each other. St Pauls arrived fast, I asked the girls to get in their positions and we started the game. About 15 minutes in, Aarna scored a fantastic goal as we all started to cheer “Go Aarna” “Yes! You did it Aarna” After Aarnas score St Pauls made the game intense. We had trouble trying to get the ball, and before we knew it they kicked an amazing shot! No one scored after that, so the scores were 1-1 tied.
We had a great game and an amazing time. Great game girls!

AFL
Today we played against St Paul of the Apostle and had a very intense game. They won the game with a score of 72-6. They played hard and were determined to win. There were a lot of things that Mernda needed to work on. Overall it was an amazing game, with lots of takeaways for us.  Good game St Pauls!

Girls Netball
The day started with heaps of excited players waiting to take to the court. There was so much cheering from both teams on the sidelines that made us infinitely more excited for our game . We were all pumped up and ready for another amazing game. Everyone did their very best, we were so grateful Saint Pauls came to our school. We would like to congratulate them on their win.  HIP HIP HOORAY!

Mixed Netball
It was great to have St Pauls here at MPPS! We enjoyed playing netball with them. We did not win the game, but we still did great and had heaps of fun! We were so glad to have Saint Pauls here at our school. We are very grateful for having them come and play against us here at MPPS. Thank you St Pauls!
