Essendon traffic School

In May, SLC visited Essendon Traffic School for their excursion. Essendon Traffic school is set up like a mini community with roads, traffic lights, zebra crossings, railway crossings, roundabouts, intersections, school crossings, petrol station and parking bays.

The day was filled with lots of fun as they learnt all about how to be safe around roads. They learnt the importance to STOP LOOK LISTEN THINK before crossing the road. Everyone got to ride a bike around the streets in the school obeying the road rules, using the lines on the road, following all the signs and the importance to stay on the left side of the road.  

Every group got to go in an old Tram from the 1950s and pretend to drive and ring the bell like a Tram driver. 

While half the group was at the Traffic school, the other half got to play in the park enjoying all the play equipment together. Everyone had a fantastic day!
