Little Learners Love Literacy

LLLL helps children build a strong foundation in reading by systematically teaching key concepts like phonics (the relationship between sounds and letters), phonemic awareness (the ability to hear and manipulate sounds in spoken words), comprehension and high-frequency words. The Little Learners Love Literacy program utilises a staged approach to learning, meaning students’ progress through specific developmental stages rather than using levelled texts. Through differentiated and interactive games and activities, students learn to decode words, improve their reading fluency, develop spelling and handwriting skills and foster a love for reading.

SLC are working in Stage 1 to 7 groups working with students at their like abilities in reading and phonics. The children are very engaged in different activities with 5 lessons a week. Children take part in lessons that can be Let’s Spell, Where’s the Sound, Let’s Write, handwriting, guided reading, phonic games, Read and Grab and many more…

Children also have access to their reading books online on the LLLL website where teachers allocate books for the children to share with their families at home.​
