SLC Celebration Day

This term SLC has been learning about different cultures from around the world, developing an appreciation of multicultural Australia. On Wednesday SLC participated in a Celebration Day. Students and staff came dressed in what they would wear to a celebration like a party or family celebration. There were students dressed for a variety of occasions like birthdays, Christmas, Diwali, Eid and a wedding.

​Throughout the day the children learnt about Diwali, Ramadan, Eid, Halloween and Thanksgiving by taking part in many different activities. SLC reports that everyone had an amazing day with many smiles and laughs throughout the day. Everyone learnt a new Bhangra dance, how to make a lantern, wrote a recipe for a cauldron, made a balloon for the Thanksgiving Parade and tested their knowledge on a Kahoot's Quiz.
