Term 1 is nearly finished

This term has flown by with so much creativity and skills being displayed in Visual Art lessons.
The PLC students practiced their cutting skills and colour mixing. They also threaded beads onto elastic which has been put together as a large collaborative work. This will hang in the office as part of our Harmony Week display.
SLC have had a very special term with Indigenous aertist, Nikki-Lee Browne in the Deadly Arts program. Is has been wonderful having Nikki with us this term. I am sure the students will all miss her. Keep an eye out next term for some wonderful signs in our gardens depicting the seven Wurundjeri seasons and decorated with the wonderful artwork created throughout the program.
Still life fruit and Roman mosaics were the theme of CLC's main work this term. The students designed theit still life of fruit, painted some paper to get the colour for their 'tiles' and then created amazing mosaic designs.
YYLC used the work of Australian artist, Pete Cromer for inspiration this term. Just like CLC they painted some pages for colour and then cut them up to make a mosaic in the style of Pete Cromer's work.
