2026 MPPS Writer's Festival

Last Wedensday, 9th September, MPPS invited our families and friends to walk down the garden path with us to view our 2026 Writer's Festival. It was wonderful to walk through the school and see so many families enjoying the hard work of our students and staff.
My role was to support the students to create an artowkr to compliment their exeptional writing pieces. Such a big challenge that you must agree our students passed with flying colours! The students wourked on these pieces for 6 weeks in their Visual Arts lessons. For most sutdents, this was the longest they had ever spent on one piece.
I could not be prouder of the efforts of our wonderful students and their drive to create amazing works of art.
A special congratulations goes to the winners of the Visual Arts awards:
PLC - Kabir, Bhuvi and Aayu
SLC - Aria C, Alisia and Jia
CLC - Julian, Kumeran and Mae
YYLC - Alex M, Samaira and Freya

These students not only created beautiful artworks, but their attitudes throughout the process showed a drive to produce a work that they were proud of, while supporting their peers in their work too. These students pushed themselves outside their comfort zone to produce work they did not think they were capable of. Well done!
