Imagine A World With Only Basketball

This world is my home. Me on my local oval shaped field. My life is so happy. I love this - kicking a ball with my friends. Everyday, I play over and over with my friends. We always have dinner together afterwards. This sport is so fun. It is so fun because it’s just so enjoyable. I don’t know what I would do without it!

I’ll always remember PE that day…we were at school in PE when all of the balls started to mysteriously vanish, strangely one by one  they all vanished into thin air. But one particular type of ball stayed, it was a basketball. Our PE teacher said, ‘’Let’s play basketball!” I cried, “No, I want to play football.’’ This day was just so sad, foggy and shocking. But luckily, I guess, I was also good at basketball…

Without warning I heard people harassing me saying, “You can’t play basketball.” I chuckled, smiled and thought, “I’ll remember that.” The game starts. I hear the piercing sound of the whistle as I drive towards the ring and slam dunk! We heard a THUMP. I had broken the backboard from dunking!

I dropped deeper and deeper into this new world. It is then I realised I can only play basketball for the rest of my life. I can’t play my other favourite sports. Sadly, depressingly, I cry thinking about football. I am devastated. I do my best to greet this new world of just basketball.

Fortunately I was able to play basketball everyday. But I was still really disappointed, I still miss my other sports. “Just give me back the other sports equipment,” I thought desperately to myself. A world without sports was like…

A nightmare…but not…
