Imagine A World With An Endless Ocean…

BACKSTORY

A new company, B-Sync, had begun a mission to make more space than Earth could conventionally hold. However, a new experiment went wrong - and hundreds, if not thousands of people were “noclipping” into this new experiment… Missing posters were everywhere, and the general public did not know why so many people were gone without a trace. This is the story of one person, who was unfortunate enough to noclip in these areas..

STORY

It was just a dark and gloomy day… I had just finished my building job down at the bridge, and was so tired I could sleep on concrete. The death of my grandfather didn’t help, either. He was my life, my everything, and all of that was just…gone. All I was looking forward to was a nice warm bath, a pleasant day at the club and some hard earned rest, all at home. I kept walking and walking down the street, wondering when I’d get home…

I finally got home, and decided to turn on the news, as I do as normally. I kept scrolling through the boring stuff, wondering when I’d find something interesting, but then I did: “Breaking news! A new company B-Sync has created an alternate dimension which thousands of people are noclipping into!” I raise my eyebrows. Was this a trick? What is “noclipping”? It wasn’t April 1st today, so I couldn’t find a reasonable excuse that this crazy “news” would be on TV, unless… it was true… I just dismissed it as a prank, and decided to take a bath, just like I wanted to earlier. I went upstairs, filled up the bath, and was ready to get in when I felt a falling feeling, and everything went black.

I slowly become conscious, taking in my surroundings and realising I'm falling towards the ground at Mach 10. I look down, looking at the “ground” I’m gonna crash into in approximately 14.45 seconds, and close my eyes, bracing for the impact.

But it never comes.

I look around, seeing I’m several metres below the sea. Somehow, a wave of calm washes over me - like entering a sensory deprivation pool. But the feeling doesn’t last long, as I realise I’m running out of oxygen. I try to swim up to the surface, but to no avail - my legs are too tired to swim at this point, after the hard work at the bridge. I’m in between a rock and a hard place, and have 2 choices ahead of me - either plug my nose and accept my fate, or breathe in water and accept my fate.

I pick the latter.

I sit, waiting for my lungs to fill up with water and for myself to face my inevitable fate, but something insane happened - I breathed in actual oxygen! I checked to see if it was just a one-off effect, or if my mind was playing tricks on me, but it happened again! Feeling confident, I decided to explore this strange place, and see if it hides any secrets… or more. I saw the ocean floor, some seaweed, and even a field of coral, but no sign of life around. But then I looked to my left, and saw an underwater building - like something out of an Atlantis. But then I saw more buildings. And more. And even more.

I started to explore this underwater atlantis I had just discovered, viewing various buildings, streets, and more. But then I found something weird - like something out of a movie. A statue. Not just any statue, but a statue of my late grandfather! An exact, 1-1, real life statue of my grandfather. Somehow, in this “world”, my grandfather was a powerful enough entity that he deserved his own statue in the town centre. I was shocked, but not surprised. I always saw my Pop doing some “stuff” in his room, which he didn't allow me to see. I decided to find a place to rest for the night, as I had seen enough today, because… noclipping into an alternate world with an endless ocean where my Pop was an important figure is a lot to take in. I found a squishy piece of coral, lied down, and closed my eyes.

Imagine a world..? You don’t need to imagine now…
