Market Day Magic: Grade 5 & 6 Shine as Young Entrepreneurs!

Last week, our Grade 5 and 6 students transformed the Community Hub into a buzzing marketplace for our Market Day, and what an incredible event it was! After weeks of planning, designing, testing, and budgeting, students proudly opened their very own stalls and sold their creations to the younger year levels.

Each stall showcased the teamwork, imagination and hard work of our budding entrepreneurs. Students used their maths skills to set prices, give change, track profits, and manage budgets—all while providing excellent customer service.

The younger students loved visiting the stalls, exploring what was on offer, and supporting their older peers. Smiles, laughter, and excitement filled the yard as classrooms took turns shopping and trying out the fun activities.

Market Day wasn’t just about selling—it was about learning. Students developed real-life skills in money handling, problem-solving, advertising, teamwork, and communication. It was amazing to see the pride on their faces as they watched their ideas come to life.
