Performances

Last week the students in Yan Yean were fortunate enough to watch 2 performances. The first was The Lakes production of "Curtain Call," and it was a fantastic experience. The venue was buzzing with anticipation as we waited to see what the students from grades Prep to Year 10 were going to perform.
The cast delivered powerful performances, but the standout was the Wakakirri performance which was beautifully choreographed.
At the end of the performance, our students had the opportunity to learn how to do the ‘Hand Jive’ and ‘The Time Warp’.
 
The second performance that we watched was by Alpha Shows, and was inspired by the beloved movie "Frozen." This production explored the profound theme of how our perceptions—both negative and positive—shape our thoughts and emotions, ultimately influencing our ability to align with our true potential.
From the moment the show began, it was clear that the performers were committed to bringing this message to life. The staging was vibrant and dynamic, mirroring the icy landscapes and magical elements of "Frozen," while infusing it with a fresh perspective on personal growth and self-discovery. The storyline unfolded seamlessly, blending humour and drama which engaged the students.
