On Thursday the 9th of May our Grade 3/4 students from Carome Learning Community were very fortunate to participate in a free AFL incursion. The AFL ran the incursion to promote their new program called ‘Superkick’.
The NAB AFL Superkick is for anyone aged 8-12 wanting to get a feel for footy, without the pressure. It’s a great next step after Auskick or a good way to start fresh in footy, as you’ll learn new skills through skill-based activities in weekly sessions, then show them off in games straight after. All CLC students were incredibly lucky to receive a 10% discount code to sign up for Superkick! Take a look at some information and action pictures below. The results are in! Drum roll please... Kerr Captains Ella and Kosta, and Mills Captains Archer and Hazel (absent)
On the last day of Term 1, Thursday the 28th of March, we had our annual MPPS Fun Run! All staff, students (and some parents) dressed in their house colours of Mills (green), Barty (blue), Alcott (yellow), and Kerr (red). Students from Prep to Grade 6 ran laps around our school and showed off their athletic abilities. It was an incredible day and we are all so proud of all students for participating, trying their best and cheering on their peers. The results will be annouced at the first assembly back of Term 2, on Monday the 22nd of April. Take a look at our amazing runners! Thank you to all of the families who walked, rode and scooted to school on Friday the 22nd of March, to promote healthy habits and eco-friendly transportation. It was amazing to see so many of our students on their bikes and scooters. Go Team MPPS!
This term, all students from Prep to Grade 6 at MPPS have been learning about our CARE values in PE.
