Plenty Learning Community - The three little pigs

11/5/2021

Our prep students have been busy creating their own stick puppets to retell the story of
The Three Little Pigs'.

We are learning to collaborate in a group and share the puppets as well as learning how to use our voice to make sound effects and speak the lines for the characters.

Keep up the awesome work PLC!

Puppetry!

27/4/2021

This term, the students at Mernda Park will become puppeteers and will be exploring the magic of puppetry!
Some of the advantages of puppetry for students include:
  • Creativity and imagination
  • Develops an interest in stories and acting
  • It’s lots of fun
  • It’s a great collaborative activity that students can do together in a group
  • Performing a puppet show to an audience can build confidence
  • Manipulating puppets, particularly on strings, can help with co-ordination, muscle development and fine motor skills
  • Puppets can be used to role play and act out scenarios for educational purposes
Stay tuned for more this term as we create and explore the world of puppets!

Interested in playing the ukulele??

21/4/2021

If your child is interested in learning a musical instrument, then the ukulele could be the perfect instrument.
This year, Rhece is running a Ukulele club for any students interested in joining.

We meet every Wednesday during lunch time where students learn the names of the musical notes, how to correctly play the instrument and most importantly, we learn lots of fun and simple songs.

If you would like more information, please speak to Rhece!
