As part of our writing stimulus, we made hot chocolate for our Winter topic this week. Take a look at the photos below of us making and enjoying our delicious, warm and sweet hot chocolate – YUMMY! In writing, we made bubble wands using pipe cleaners. We wrote a procedure text with instructions on how to make a bubble wand and listed the materials needed. We dipped our wands into the bubble mixture and watched as bubbles appeared! In Simon Learning Community we have been learning about our doubles facts. We painted dots on one side of a kinder square, folded it in half and watched what happened as the numbers doubled! As part of our Integrated Studies concept of Community, SLC students attended an excursion at DreamCity in South Wharf. The students learnt about a range of different occupations in hands on experiences. SLC students had an amazing day! As part of our place value topic in maths, we made animals using different materials. We counted the number of unifix and MAB blocks we used to build our animal and recorded that number using hundreds, tens and ones. |
