CLC Mappen Expo

​On Wednesday the 28th of April, the CLC students shared their projects from our Term 1 Mappen. There was an amazing buzz as students shared their hard work with their peers. Students explained what they made, how they made it and what they learned during the process. 

The Grade 3s looked at First Contact between Aboriginal and European Settlers. We studied the different history, artefacts and cultural aspects such as games, food and languages. Students then worked in groups to research and create an artefact model.

Grade 2s Term 1 focus was all about what services are available in their community. They were able to identify their services, navigate a map and know who can help them in an emergency. With this knowledge, in groups, they became architects- designed their very own precinct and then built a mini version of their precinct within their groups. Once they were completed they were able to share their workings with other members of CLC.
