During our first lesson at school after Remote Teaching and Learning we had lots of fun creating sock puppets! Our puppets will help us to remember our school routines and expectations for learning. Look at how creative we are! This term in PLC we have engaged in many enjoyable Google Meet themes, including drawing time, story time, yoga, Book Week dress up, alphabet games and many more. Take a look at some of our favourite memories! Throw kindness around like it’s confetti! This week it was our mission to spread KINDNESS. We showed our appreciation, love and generosity to the people around us who matter the most. To help celebrate Father’s Day and the special people in our lives we chose one or many more acts of kindness. We had lots of fun celebrating BOOK WEEK during remote learning. Take a look at some of our costumes and favourite books! To celebrate our '100 Days of Learning' the Preps engaged in many different learning activities and experiences based around the number 100. Take a look at out special '100 Days of Learning' hats and badges we created. We are very proud of our learning in PLC!The Preps and teachers at Mernda Park Primary School celebrated the first 100 days of prep by engaging in many fun activities inspired by the number 100.We had so much fun singing and dancing at our special '100 Days of Learning' disco. As a part of our 3D shape exploration, we engaged in an ice sphere science experiment. First, we each filled a balloon with water and popped it in the freezer. Next, we took our balloons out of the freezer and we had ICE SPHERES! Then, we cut the balloons off, sprinkled the ice spheres with salt and listened and watched as the ice crackled and popped. Finally, we poured food colouring on top of the salt and observed the colour run through all of the ice cracks and crevices. We had a lot of fun learning about 3D shapes. We have been exploring 3D shapes such as cubes and spheres. Take a look at the creatures and objects that we built using cube-shaped blocks! We are learning how to recognise, name and describe 3D shapes, such as spheres and cubes. |
