Fairy bread mathematics

In SLC students have been learning about fractions. All students participated in our fairy bread mathematics activity where they got to make fairy bread and cut it into two or four parts and described how the parts were equal. Students identified equal and unequal parts and were able to explain if sharing their fairy bread would be fair. At the end of the lesson students got to eat and enjoy their fairy bread as their snack.  ​
