This term students have been learning about the levels of government in Australia. Students explored the need for government and laws in our country. Students in each group developed a Bill that was to be passed in our Government role play. Through the role playing students developed an understanding of the parties in our government, debating a Bill, how a session in parliment runs, as well as the roles of various members of government such as the Speaker.
Students also participated in a virtual incursion to Old Parliment House in Canberra. This live and interactive session showed students the spaces in the building and how they were used. Students were able to ask questions to our hosts and learn so much through our virtual visit.  ​
