Imagine A World Full Of Songs…

Imagine a world where technology glows as you log into your favourite application to sing along to your favourite song.

As I slowly listened to my playlist, I looked at my arms and realised I was fading away in pixels. “Was this my death?” I thought. “No…” I said in a gentle voice as I faded away forever… In a flash, I was at a place called ‘Country Crowd.’ I squinted my eyes and saw a person in the distance wearing a cowboy hat and  boots…

Tired and exhausted from walking a humongous distance in the desert, I was as sweaty as an athlete. I staggered upon the cowboy that I saw from a distance. “HOWDY PARTNER!” the cowboy sang. “Hi” I said “Do you know the way to the airport?” I questioned. “Go straight for fifty metres and then turn left” the  cowboy exclaimed. “ You can catch the musical train or ride one of my singing horses!” said the cowboy. I glanced at my watch and said to the cowboy “The train is already gone, so I’ll just take the singing horse.” “Which horse do you want?” the cowboy bopped. “You can have Manny!” “He’s got handsome hair and a beautiful voice.” Every time Manny’s shoes touched the silky sand it made an amazing clickerty-clack sound which sounded  exactly like a melody…

After a long, long tour on Manny the singing horse, I gazed at a glowing light up ahead. It said on a blue sign ‘Airport at Sing-Song City’. I walked inside and was amazed to see the modern clean room. As the planes departed, instead of hearing the engines roar they sang a magnificent melody. As I took a stroll over to the bakery, I purchased a ham roll for the flight, and as soon as I finished the roll  I was ready to burst into a tuneful dance. As we were on the runway, I stared out the window to find the cowboy throwing his hat up in the night sky on top of Manny. He waved at me, and I waved back.

It was another glorious day on the plane and the pilot sang on the speaker that we are about to arrive at a place called ‘Rock Rebel’. I walked off the final stair to the tarmac, ready for a new adventure. I found an electric bass and microphone on a glowing, flashing, illuminated screen. The colours of the instruments were smothered in purple, black, red, yellow and white LED lights. I bought a red coloured Ferrari and took it to have a closer look, the engine was humming a soothing tune. I hopped out of the car and there was a temple underneath. The sign read, ‘BEWARE: electric blue lightning bolts and acid green sound waves…

The temple still lies there… unexplored.
