Imagine A World That Repeats Over and Over and Over…

Just imagine a world where every day is being repeated. Waking up at the same time, the same events happening everyday and nothing new - ever. But, you don't know just yet you only notice after a couple of days…

The morning sun sneaks through your curtains trying to force in light. Your eyes open and see a new clean day ahead of you. As you force yourself to leave your bed you reach out to pull the curtains to the side. Through the clear glass windows you see many shapes of clouds surrounding the sun. You walk downstairs and instantly smell bacon, eggs, pancakes and orange juice. Stacks of  fluffy pancakes with dripping honey make your stomach growl with hunger. After eating breakfast you go to your room and check your morning routine list.
  1. Eat breakfast.
  2. Get dressed.
  3. Brush teeth.
  4. Brush hair.
  5. Clean room.
As you complete each task you put a tick next to all of them. It's just an ordinary day like any other.  After your full day you get changed into your pyjamas and get ready for bed and then do your night routine.
  1. Put pyjamas on.
  2. Brush teeth.
  3. Go to bed.
The next day you wake up at the same time, it may seem a little strange to you but you just forget about it during the day. But that's not all, as the day goes on even more strange events happen…

You walk down the stairs and smell bacon eggs pancakes and orange juice.  “Good morning mum. Ummm… why are you making the same breakfast as yesterday?”
“What are you talking about? You had crumpets yesterday morning?”
“No, we didn't, don't you remember yesterday?”
“ Ok you can believe what you want to believe. You must not have had enough sleep last night. What time did you go to bed last night? You were supposed to be in bed at 9:00. Were you up playing your games with friends?”
“ Mum I wasn't, I went to bed at my usual time. Y’know what nevermind I’m going to eat now I’m hungry.”
“ Ok. What is going on in my child's mind..?” Mum mumbled to herself.
You have breakfast then go to your room to get ready for the rest of the day. After you get ready you start to clean your room, but ask yourself, Why am I cleaning my room? I did it yesterday. What is going on? Just imagine I’m stuck in a time hoop. Haha, that would be weird.  You say that as a joke but little do you know it's not a joke anymore…

You wake up the next morning and once again the same events are happening. You just play along though and then afterward getting ready for the rest of the day. You ask your mum to go to the library and she allows you to go. As you walk in the door, you smell new books and sense dark ink on the light smooth paper, hidden underneath the covers of amazing stories written, read and told. You go up to the counter and ask for a book about time spirals and the staff has replied.  “Yes we do, just around the corner to your left and there is a science section, look for the letter T and it will be in that row somewhere.”
“ Ok thank you.”
You walk in the directions you heard and find the row with the letter T. You look for a book about time travel and you find a section abou time. You pick out a book and go back to the counter to approve your borrowing. After finishing at the counter you say a friendly goodbye and leave to go back home, your mum is waiting outside for you.
“What book did you borrow?”
“I borrowed a book about time spirals. Cool right?”
“Yeah that's super cool. But why that book?”
“Oh no reason.”
“Ok then, c’mon hop in the car we have to go to the supermarket and buy dinner for tomorrow and tonight.”
“Ok.”
After going to the supermarket you start driving home. Once you get home you help unload the groceries and then you lay down on your bed. All About Time Spirals it reads.  You open the book.  As you read, the information starts to make you wonder.  Am I stuck in a Time Spiral?  All of the main components of these spirals are happening to me every day.  If only I could get out of it!  My reading speeds up and finally I get to the part I've been waiting for most. As I read and read  How To Get Out Of A Time Spiral, I realise…I’m in one!  How did this happen?  Why did this happen?  The book continues…The challenges of getting out of a time spiral are not too tricky, but you must remember you only have 24 hours to complete these tasks.
Task 1. Make Sure To Always Be Nice To Others.
Task 2. Try Complete Something You Have Never Done Before.
But You Must Remember…if these are not completed in a 24 hour time frame, you will be stuck in this spiral forever!  So let’s get to work…

You start immediately. Your head is empty. No ideas come to mind, but you remember that nightmare of public speaking.  Could that be the key to unlocking this curse? The last time you had spoken infront of someone was… never. The first task could be that, but you are too afraid to talk to people. You start to let negativity take over and doubt creeps in. What if I say something wrong? What if they don't like my speech? What if I get nowhere and everyone thinks I'm a freak? But you try your hardest to forget about it and place the book away where nobody can find it. You grab out a folder full of pages, some blank and some full. You flip through the pages and memories spill out from when you were younger looking through stories and drawings. You place your speaker on your bed and play your favourite music, it helps you concentrate. You grab your pen, pencils and other supplies needed to make your own story.  After the new ideas walk onto the page, the story is nearly finished. It’s only the afternoon, now you have to read it out. Talk in front of people….Ew! The negative thoughts push onto the barrier to the brain, yet the positive thoughts are being let through and I feel by body relax if only a little. Your heart is pounding, feeling sick, butterflies flying around in your stomach. You get online and message your friends and ask to make a group call with the class. It’s happening and that's what makes you even more worried. A few minutes later, everyone from your class is ready. Not everyone is able to join, but there are still enough people. Everyone in the comments gives positive thoughts and well wishes.
You Go Girl!
YES!
C’mon You Got This.
Don't Worry Everyone Will Love Your Story!
The volume of comments blowing up starts to die. You start reading your story and every once in a while, you look up and see many people smiling at you, which makes you feel better and comfortable. Your confidence grows and as you continue the story, you are no longer scared. You finish your story and everyone is so proud of you. Clapping, cheering and encouragement echo through the screen and you start to tear up. You all say goodbye and that is your first task completed.

Hours later, you are still trying to get to sleep, thinking about how you have conquered a challenge today.  Slowly you drift off to sleep,  you wake up and check your clock! It is 3:00am. You start to realise that you have run out of time! You had forgotten to complete your second task!
“Oh no. My life is over. I’m stuck in this time lapse for my whole life!”
You panic and start crying knowing your life will never be the same again. You stay up for hours, but eventually you fall back asleep. You wake up to your alarm at 7:00am. But you remember you don't have an alarm. It was your annoying sibling squealing in your face.
“WAKE UP!!”
“ Ok, ok I’m up. Wait, why aren't you at the party with your kinder friends?”
“ No, that was yesterday.”
“ Yesterday?”
“ Duh, I just said that. Anyways get up, mums got maccas for breakfast!’
Your sibling runs out of your room while your stomach rumbles. You think to yourself, am I out of the timelapse? If I am…how? You go downstairs and mum says goodmorning to you.
“ Goodmorning, do you want maccas for breakfast?”
“ Umm.. Yes please.”
“ Ok. After breakfast we will return your book from yesterday.”
“ Um ok.”
After breakfast, you return to your room and get ready to go. You start to celebrate, and jump around your room.  “I’m out of the time spiral! But how?”  You think and think, but you can't come up with any reasons. Strange, confusing and weird, however it’s good to be back to normal.  Or was it?

Normal is not as bad as we may think.
