The Window

Imagine a world where I could go anywhere I want instantly with a portal instead of being stuck at home! Day after day, month after month I keep wishing to explore the world because being stuck at home is NOT FUN!!!!

Yet again I get out of bed exhausted and go to look for my phone. I look everywhere except…the basement - the dirtiest, scariest and dustiest place in my house. I think to myself, “My phone won’t be there”…but I want to check anyway.

Terrified, I tiptoed into the dusty, scary and stinky basement. I look and find my phone. But… I saw a window I’ve never seen before, so I put my phone back where I found it and cautiously approached the window. I got close to it…SNAP! The window sucks me in. I don't know where I am. I shiver as fear takes over my body. I had found someone who I didn't know. I asked, “Where am I?” and they said… “You're in L.A!” Blown away, I found out the window takes me… ANYWHERE!!

It's been five days and I have already been around the globe. I even discovered some land to keep to myself. I'm very happy and I don't want to be ungrateful and all, but…I have this feeling of dissatisfaction. I just cannot find a place to fill that empty spot up. I decided to go back home and have a break. Thankfully…when I go home…my body fills up with… satisfaction!

I’m thrilled to be back home after all that exploring. My heart is full, my body relaxed, my mind is at ease. There's no point in exploring anymore, since I’ve seen everything on the globe. So I guess this is the end of my adventure… or is it?

The best place to live is home.
