 Imagine A World…

It was an age of despair, sadness and bloodshed for humans. Too many soldiers were dying at war and never coming back home. We were losing too many people, and each day we were edging to defeat…

I was listening to the radio and flipping through channels. All of a sudden an interesting channel popped up. “Breaking news! This just in, the government is announcing a possible way to end the bloodshed and death!” the reporter said. I thought it was a boring news story until a government member started talking. “In a few days we will be unveiling our weapon to destroy the enemy!”...

Days and days and days and days of waiting until I hear something, anything about the indestructible weapon of domination. I check the news every day and nothing interesting happens. Baby shows, sing alongs, documentaries. NOTHING! Until Tuesday… I was listening to my favourite music on the same channel when the government official popped up, and then… “ Breaking news, we are sorry to interrupt this wonderful, amazing and insanely chill music program but we are required to tell you this otherwise we are fired. At 12 PM at the town square we will be revealing our secret weapon to the world!” I gasped so sharply that I choked on the air. Without a moment to lose I sprint towards the town square and wait…

The government official started speaking, “We will be unveiling our secret weapon, 3, 2, 1,” he stopped for a moment for dramaticness. He clicked the button “NOW!” The curtain fell to the floor and he moved out of the way and a cake was revealed “HAHAHAHAHA!” laughed the crowd, “Calm down!” ordered the government official. The crowd fell silent, “This cake could be our new defence for thousands of years!” exclaimed the official. I instantly thought, what a sick joke, as if a CAKE could defend us?

Without warning the cake began to move, its blood thirsty eyes shot open and glared at the audience. Everyone started clapping and cheering until the cake leapt at the Government Official and suffocated him, but not before he croaked his last word - “run”

Everyone is shrieking and running in different directions from the panicking, horrific, petrifying scene. People sprinted to their houses and locked their windows and doors.
I idiotically decided to stay in the life or death situation. The giant death cake and I locked eyes with each other. I finally realise that staying was a stupid idea, I want to run but my body was frozen in complete fear.  Why did I stay? This was a terrible idea. And to think I was going to try and talk to the cake. I have made a death or death choice…what do I do?...

I speed to my house to collect the ultimate weapon... A giant matchstick box! It may be stupid but its all I had! I had not realised but the cake had followed me back to my house in stealth mode. The governor never mentioned that he included a stealth mode! How am I supposed to destroy the death cake without setting the house on fire!?  I remembered the attic has a window. I climbed up the ladder, opened the window, jumped out and ran as fast as I could. The cake was too lazy to use its legs so it jumped in my car and sped off after me! Luckily the cake drove too fast and the car exploded “That was my Dad’s Tesla!” I exclaimed “He is going to kill me!” I have already suffered enough life and death predicaments! So I decided to light the cake on fire. The cake melted and everyone celebrated me. Apart from Dad. He stared at me with a grim stare that could kill an elephant.

FOOD FIGHT!
