Physical Education

term 4 susie's summary

9/12/2021

As I sit here and reflect on the year that was, I am beyond words for the resilience and energy that our MPPS students have demonstrated on their return to school in this last term of 2021.  From a Physical Education perspective, my aim is to not only educate our students in skills and sport, but create a passion for moving and generating positive experiences in these sessions.  On return to Term 4 we have had a Prep to Grade 6 game focus  - concentrating on target, invasion, net/wall and striking/fielding games.  All students have continued to learn, develop and demonstrate our CARE values of Collaboration, Achievement, Responsibility and Empathy through our PE program and how they easily link to games, activities and sports. The culture we continue to build through our PE and sporting programs at Mernda Park gives me the greatest sense of pride in our students, staff and community.  Thank you for all of your commitment to your students at home and on return and I wish you a safe and happy holidays, recharging for what promises to be an amazing 2022!  Stay safe and well...Susie.
