I know that this term has not quite progressed how we planned but I wanted to celebrate some of the wonderful work our Preppies were doing before lockdown. In Week 6 we looked at the picture book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds.
We read the story and then the students created an artwork in response to the story. They had a choice of materials to work with; coloured pencils, coloured markers, oil pastels and soft pastels. When they were finished each student signed the front of the artwork like Vashti does in the story and 'framed' their work by gluing it onto a piece of coloured card. I think you would agree they did a wonderful job! |
