National Ride2School Day

28/3/2024

Thank you to all of the families who walked, rode and scooted to school on Friday the 22nd of March, to promote healthy habits and eco-friendly transportation. It was amazing to see so many of our students on their bikes and scooters. Go Team MPPS!

Term 1 PE

18/3/2024

This term, all students from Prep to Grade 6 at MPPS have been learning about our CARE values in PE.
Students learned to collaborate by working with a partner and playing teamwork games. Students enjoyed playing Dead Ants Tag, Superhero Tag and Rescue (Danger Island).
Students practised doing their personal best with Trial and Error stations, then they combined Collaboration and Achievement to play Tic Tac Toe (PE version) and Mat Madness.
Students demonstrated responsibility by taking care of equipment, helping and teaching others new skills and ensuring they were responsible for their jobs when playing Steal the Banana and Hula Hut Throwdown.
Students are learning about empathy by stepping into someone else's shoes. They are completing activities blindfolded, only using one arm, or one leg, or pushing themselves on a scooterboard (only using their arms).

Term 1 Interschool Sport

18/3/2024

This term our Grade 5/6 students played T20 Cricket, Basketball and Teeball in our weekly Interschool Sports competition.

The YYLC teachers and I are so proud of all the 5/6 students. Each week they tried their absolute best, demonstrated great sportpersonship, and consistently helped and supported each other, their teachers and students from other schools.

Go Team MPPS!
